PRODUCT DATA SHEET:
SDN-2 is a styrene-series macroporous adsorbent. Not containing ion-exchange functional groups, this nonpolar adsorbent is synthesized by polymerizing monomers with very small dipole moment, and thus surface of the pores is highly hydrophobic. Therefore, it can selectively adsorb the organic micromolecules impurities through interaction with the hydrophobic parts in these small molecules. In general, such nonpolar adsorbent has been widely applied in removing nonpolar organic micromolecules from polar solution that contains polar macromolecules.
Polymerized by its specific surface area and precise pore diameter, well designed as 'saponins adsorbent', SDN-18 adsorbent is most suitable for extracting various compounds such as ginseng saponin, notoginseng saponin, gardenia glycoside, gardenia yellow and the like. In addition, it is also widely used to remove excessive higher fatty acid esters for balancing the proper aroma and rich &round taste of spirits or liquors during fermentation refining process.
