Product Description
The 3PE closed-end heat shrink sleeve is a protective material used for pipeline anti-corrosion. It consists of a three-layer structure: epoxy powder (FBE), adhesive, and polyethylene (PE). It offers excellent anti-corrosion, mechanical protection, and waterproofing properties, making it widely used in pipeline anti-corrosion in industries such as oil, natural gas, and chemicals.
1. Structure
First Layer: Epoxy Powder (FBE)
Applied directly to the steel pipe surface, providing excellent adhesion and anti-corrosion performance.
Second Layer: Adhesive
Connects the epoxy powder layer and the polyethylene layer, enhancing the bonding strength of the overall structure.
Third Layer: Polyethylene (PE)
Provides mechanical protection and waterproofing, ensuring the pipeline's durability in harsh environments.
2. Features
1.Excellent Anti-Corrosion Performance: The three-layer structure effectively prevents corrosion from corrosive media.
2.Good Mechanical Properties: Resists impact and compression, protecting the pipeline from mechanical damage.
3.Waterproofing: The polyethylene layer effectively prevents water penetration.
4.Easy Installation: The heat-shrink process is simple and adaptable to various pipeline shapes.
5.Long Service Life: Designed to last over 30 years.
3. Application Fields
1.Oil and Natural Gas Pipelines: Used for anti-corrosion protection in long-distance pipelines.
2.Chemical Pipelines: Suitable for pipelines transporting corrosive media.
3.Urban Water Supply Pipelines: Used for anti-corrosion and waterproofing in water supply pipelines.
4.Subsea Pipelines: Suitable for anti-corrosion protection in subsea pipelines.
4. Construction Process
1.Surface Preparation: Clean the pipeline surface to ensure it is free of oil, rust, and impurities.
2.Preheating the Pipeline: Use heating equipment to preheat the pipeline surface.
3.Installing the Heat Shrink Sleeve: Wrap the closed-end heat shrink sleeve around the pipeline, ensuring complete coverage.
4.Heating and Shrinking: Use a flame or hot air gun to evenly heat the sleeve, allowing it to tightly conform to the pipeline.
5.Cooling and Curing: Allow the heat shrink sleeve to cool, forming a durable protective layer.
5. Precautions
1.Surface Preparation: Ensure the pipeline surface is clean and free of impurities.
2.Temperature Control: Strictly control the temperature during construction to avoid overheating or insufficient heating.
3.Construction Environment: Avoid construction in humid or contaminated environments.
