Polyethylene glycol 400 is a polymer composed of ethylene glycol molecules connected by ether bonds, where the number of repeating units of ethylene glycol molecules is 400.

It is a colorless and transparent liquid, easily soluble in water, with a pH value of 5-7 in 1% aqueous solution and an average molecular weight between 300-500. The characteristics of this product are that it can be miscible with water in any proportion, is not easy to volatilize, and is used as a humidifier in various mixtures to absorb and retain moisture.
