Introduction of aramid:
Aramid fiber (aramid fiber for short) is a type of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fiber. They are used in aerospace and applications, ballistic-grade bulletproof vest fabrics and ballistic composites, bicycle tires, marine ropes, ship hull reinforcement, and an asbestos replacement [1]. The name is a portmanteau of "aromatic polyamide". The chain molecules in the fiber are highly oriented along the fiber axis. As a result, a higher proportion of chemical bonds contribute to the fiber's strength compared to many other synthetic fibers. Aramid has a very high melting point (>500°C).
