How CIP Works
CIP circulates cleaning solutions (alkaline, acid, or disinfectant) through equipment to remove contaminants. The typical steps include:
- Pre-rinse - Flush with water to remove residues.
- Alkaline wash - Removes organic contaminants like grease and proteins.
- Intermediate rinse - Washes away the alkaline solution.
