The purpose of cutting groove is to create free face and provide free space for large-scale mining, and the boring of cutting groove directly influences continuous and balanced production of an underground mine. At present in China, manual boring is generally adopted in cutting groove construction while conventional boring with RBM is adopted in few mines, with safety factors, working efficiency,and environmental indicators failing to meet the requirements of production in medium to large sized mines. Our pioneering CY-R40C cutting groove RBM in China is specially used for boring construction of various cutting grooves, for which automatic down-hole operation and transfer is possible so that pouring of concrete foundation is not necessary, realizing convenient installation for transfer and safe and eicient. With various technical indicators reaching the international advanced level, it can fully meet the technological requirements of cutting groove construction in various underground mines of China.
