There's main four types material printer ribbon use on barcode printer, divide into wax, wax resin, resin and wash resin.
Wax mostly suits for rough coated paper label material, wax resin suits for adhesive paper sticker and BOPP, but its anti-scratch is much better than normal wax ribbon; Resin suits for synthetic label material like pp, bopp pvc plastic, Polyester PET, synthetic paper ; another special ribbon type is wash resin suits for many kinds garment/ clothing wash care label with waterproof, washable and durable features after washed or in severe environment.
