Flat Rock Auger, Butterfly Rock Auger, Drilling Rock Auger

Continuous Flight Augers or CFA is suitable for circulation-free drilling of boreholes with small diameter and deep depths above ground water level.
CFA consists of auger bit and spiral kelly bar.
CFA is equipped with different types of hexagonal coupling depending on the type of soil being drilled, drilling method being used and also the drilling diameter.

There are three categories of Flat or Butterfly Rock Auger:
A) Single-cut Single-spiral Auger
B) Double-cut Single-spiral Auger
C) Double-cut Double-spiral Auger
Drilling Diameter Range: 500~2500mm

Main Applications:
1. The Single Cut and Double Cut Augers are suitable for drilling in weak fractured rock and very dense sand and gravel (Less than 5 MPa)
2. Double Cut Augers are mainly used for bigger diameter uncased boreholes and secant piles
3. Double Cut Auger without rock pilot are recommended for fractured rock or moderately weak to moderately strong rock (5~50 MPa)
4. Single Spiral provides high drilling speed, easy cleaning and low rotary resistance
5. Double spiral has better guiding property and efficient carrying-soil capability, but high rotary resistance
Compared with conical auger, flat auger has better guiding property, better carrying-soil capability, but higher rotary resistance
