API 6A Type H Back Pressure Valve
The Back Pressure Valve (BPV) by Jiangsu Deenpu Petrochemical Machinery Co., Ltd is a crucial component installed inside the tubing hanger to hold pressure from below, isolating well pressure during wellhead installation. Our BPV is equivalent to the Cameron back pressure valve type 'H' and is available in both two-way and one-way configurations. The most common sizes manufactured are 6 5/16" and 4", with a working pressure of up to 20,000PSI.
The BPV is commonly used during the nipple down and up of the drilling BOP stack, nipple up or down of Christmas trees, testing the Christmas tree (2-way check valve), and during the replacement of the master valve.
Note: A two-way check valve, designed to fit the same profile as the BPV, holds pressure from both directions while allowing equalization when required. It is utilized to test the tree and BOP assembly.
