Properties:
This product assumes the shape of fish scale with white and silk light
or needle-like crystals, and has a bit of benzoic or benzyl aldehyde flavour. This product, which begins to sublimate at 100ºC, is hard to dissolve in water but dissolvable in boiling water, alcohol and ether, and steady in the air.
Usages:
this product is used as antiseptic and antimicroorganism in medical and food industries; besides it is used as plasticizer in organic chemical industries.
Used quantity and limits:
1g/kg used in soy sauce, vinegar, fruit juice, jam, fruit syrup, can; 0.8g/kg used in grape wine, fruit wine and soft agarose; 0.4g/kg used in fruit soda water; 0.5g/kg used in low-salt paste, flour paste, candied fruit, haw jelly cake and fruit syrup; 2g/kg used in condensed fruit juice.
