The conveyor belt is driven by an electric motor and rotates continuously. Several support bowls are evenly installed on its surface, and operators manually place fresh broccoli in these support bowls. The output shaft of the motor pushes the broccoli in each support bowl gradually closer to the slicing knife. As the pulley continues to operate, the slicing knife cuts the broccoli in the support bowl transported to its position in turn, thereby separating the broccoli from the root and stem.
