Calcium propionate is a new type of food additive . It is a safe and reliable antifungal agent forfood and feed approved by the World Health Organization ( WHO ) and the United Nations Foodand Agriculture Organization ( FAO ) . 1. As a food additive, it is listed as E number 282 in the Codex Alimentarius. Calcium propionate is used
