Chromic anhydride, also known as chromium trioxide or chromic acid for short, has a molecular formula of CRO3 and a relative molecular mass of 99.994. Dark red or purple rhombic crystal, easily deliquescent, soluble in water, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, strong oxidizing agent.
