An excellent carbon steel welding electrode AWS E7018

General Description:

Carbon steel welding electrode with iron powder low hydrogen potassium coating. It is used on both AC & DC in all position. As the coating contains iron powder, it has highly efficient welding and can reduce welding layers. Welding of medium carbon steel & some important low alloy steel structure such as 16Mn.

Application:

Used to weld low carbon structure & low alloy steel structure, such as 16 Mn etc. Before welding, it is necessary to clean the work piece & remove the impurities such as oil, grease rust and moisture, bake the electrode at the temperature of about 350 degree centigrade for one hour. Welding must be carried out under short arc & is suitable for narrow path. When used DC, it must be connected with positive polarity.
