Introduction:
Wollastonite is composed of Ca3 [Si3O9].Triclinic system.They are usually lamellar, radial, or fibrous aggregates.White microstripe gray.Glass luster, cleavage surface pearl luster.Hardness is 4.5 ~ 5.0.The cleavage parallel {100} is complete and the parallel {001} is medium. The intersection Angle of the two cleavage planes is 74°.Density 2.78~2.91 g/cm3.It is mainly produced in the contact metamorphic zone between acidic intrusive rock and limestone, and is the main mineral component of skarn.In addition, it is found in some deep metamorphic rocks.Used as: raw materials or fillers for papermaking, ceramics, cement, rubber, plastics, etc.Gas filtration materials and heat insulation materials;Metallurgical fluxes, etc.
