Mazier automatic core barrel; 

The Automatic Mazier Core Barrel is designed for obtaining undisturbed core samples in very soft soils, such as sands, silts and marls.
 
A PVC coreliner is used inside the inner tube to retain the core, and a ''Basket'' catcher can be used to prevent soft materials from slipping out. It is available in 86mm, 101mm, 116mm, 131mm, 146mm hole diameter and can be used in conjunction with T2 series and T6 series core barrels which are more suitable for hard rocks.

Using triple wall core barrel permits removal of the sample as it is taken from the ground, guaranteed the undisturbed sample of the core. Thats why these samples in addition good for large diameter geotechnical laboratory tests beyond geological purposes.
