Description: Activated carbon is with very large internal surface areas characterised by microporosity, have strong adsorption capactity, it have three main types, Granular Activated Carbon, Pellet Activated Carbon, Powder Activated Carbon. Acivated Carbon is made from high quality anthracite coal, it also called Columnar or Extruded Activated Carbon, The diameter ranging from 1mm to 9mm, The extruded pellet form gives a low system pressure drop, which is an important consideration in the gas-phase uses.
Columnar Activated Carbon is a porous material and has large surface area and strong absorbility. It can be used for desulfurization, debenzolization,deodorization and decolourization . It can also be used in selective elimination of some chemical impurities, in liquid or gas phase in the chemical,oil and gasmetallu rgical, water treatment and environmental protection industries as well as the daily life.
