Sodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate is a white, odorless, powdered substance containing the basic elements of boron and oxygen, and is most often used in pest control products that are designed to target wood-destroying insects such as termites, carpenter ants, and powderpost beetles. Sodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate is not flammable and presents little or no hazard (to humans).This product is a multi-functional boron product with a general application in both industrial and consumer products. It is a mild alkaline salt consisting of a fine white powder that is readily soluble in water. It dissolves even in cool water to give supersaturated solutions with high boron concentrations.
