[PRINCIPLE]
The Trichomonns AntigenRapidTestCassette(Swabdetects Tnchomomas vaginas through visual interpretation of color development on the intenalstrip.nchamomas voginalts Antigen-specifcantibodies isimmobilized on the tet region of the membrane. During testing. tho specimen reacts with anti-Thichomos aginalls antibodies which conjugated to colored partices and precoated onto the sample pad of the tes Themixture then migrates through themembranebycapillay action and interacts with reagents on the membrane. If there is sufficien Tnchomonas vamnali antigen in the specimencolored band willformatthe test region ofthe membrane. The presence of this colored banc indicates positive result, while its absence indicates anegative result. The appearance of a colored band at the control region serves as i procedural control, indicating that the proper volume ofspecimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred. if the control line does not appear, the test result is not valid.

Positive: *Two lines appear. One colored line should be in the control
region (C), and another apparent colored line adjacent should be in the test
region (T).
Negative: One colored line appears in the control region (C). No line
appears in the test region (T).
Invalid: Control line fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or
incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line
failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test using a new test cassette.
If the problem persists, discontinue using the lot immediately and contact
your local distributor.
