Vaccination rates and the incidence of cervical adenocarcinoma are both on the rise, making HPV genotype testing an important tool to help stratify risk and guide patient management. High-risk HPV genotypes 16, 18 account for 70% of cervical cancer worldwide. Tianlong's Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is a qualitative in vitro test for detection of 18 high-risk HPV types (HPV 16,18,26,31,33,35,39,45,51,52,53, 56,58,59,66,68,73 and 82), which can specifically identify types of HPV 16 and HPV 18 while concurrently detecting the rest of other high-risk types.
Intended Use:
The TianLong Human Papilloma Virus(HPV) Nucleic Acid Detection Kit is a qualititative in vitro test for detection of 18 high-risk HPV types(HPV 16,18,26,31,33,35,39,45,51,52,53,56,58,59,66,68,73 and 82) by Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time PCR) method.
This test is designed to detect HPV DNA in specimens such as female cervical epithelial cells.
The potential candidate personnel to be tested could include, but are not limited to patients with symptoms of infection who are suspected of HPV by healthcare providers, or persons with no symptoms from a population for screening test confirmation or exclusion of viral infection or viral carriage status.
Results from the test are for the identification of HPV existence in samples tested. The HPV are mostly often detectable in female cervical epithelial cells samples collected during the acute phase of infection.
