Product Description
Expanding foam tape makes it perfect for sealing any shaped gap in the construction of metal buildings, doors and windows, concrete, wood, and more. It has excellent compressibility and recovery (for minimal compression set), and its UV-stable design maintains a seal during thermal expansion and contraction of building panels. An ideal thermal and sound insulator, expanding foam tape is able to hold the exterior out and the interior in while allowing vapors to move through. A hermetic seal allows the absorption of moisture, and when conditions permit, the slow release of moisture through evaporation. With expanding foam tape, there's no shrinkage or blow-out from closed-cell breakage and no worry about drying out or becoming hard and brittle.
* Replaces caulk, spray foam, putty and liquid sealants
* Expands and conforms to fill gaps on irregular substrates
* Seals out air and water for over 20 years
* No beading or gaps found in caulk or sealants
* Stops air, vapor, moisture, dust, sound and vibration
* Won't absorb water more than 5%
* To choose the correct thickness, measure your gap and then double it
* Must be compressed at least 50% to achieve full sealing
