How to use urine bag
Connect the urine bag: Connect the threaded joint of the urine pipe to the urine collection bag, ensuring that the connection is tight to prevent urine leakage.
Hanging urine bag: The urine collection bag is suspended under the bed or in another position below bladder level, using a hanging nylon rope or other holding device.
Open the urination switch: Open the urination switch on the urine collection bag to allow urine to flow smoothly into the urine bag.
Discharge of urine: When the urine in the urine bag is full, you need to wash your hands first, then clean the mouth of the urine bag with an alcohol cotton ball, and then open the mouth of the urine bag to discharge urine. After discharge, close the mouth of the urine bag and clean the mouth with an alcohol cotton ball to prevent infection.
Precautions for bringing urine bags
Keep the urine bag below the bladder level: Ensure that the urine bag is always below the bladder level to prevent urine reflux and avoid causing infection.
Increase the amount of water you drink: It is recommended to drink more than 1500ml of water per day to promote urine production and discharge, which can help reduce the risk of infection and blockage.
Keep local clean: Use normal saline to scrub and iodophor to disinfect the urethral opening and other parts every day to keep local clean and dry to reduce the growth of bacteria.
Change the urine bag regularly: According to the material of the urine bag and the doctor's advice, change the urine bag regularly to avoid bacterial growth and infection.
Pay attention to the amount of urine: When the amount of urine in the urine bag exceeds 700ml, it should be poured out in time to avoid excessive urine causing discomfort or infection.
Fixed urine bag: Properly fixed urine bag, prevent excessive pulling or excessive distortion, to avoid damage to the urethral mucosa.
Observe the body reaction: pay attention to observe the body reaction, such as pain in the urethral opening, cloudy urine, systemic fever and other symptoms, may be the manifestation of infection, should be timely medical treatment.
