Tungsten can be added 3%, 5%, 25% and 26% of rhenium to form tungsten rhenium alloy for high temperature thermocouple wire and the cathode wire. It has good high-temperature ductility, used in the electronics industry, nuclear industry and aerospace industries.

WRe thermocouple is applied to 0 ~ 2300 °C temperature in vacuum, inert and reducing atmosphere, and also used as molten steel rapid temperature measurement probe. Antioxidation WRe thermocouple replacing PtRh thermocouple, the application is extremely broad.
