This monitor is based on the national standard GB11903-89"Water Quality-Determination of Color." A color standardsolution is prepared using potassium chloroplatinate andcobalt chloride. At a specific wavelength, the absorbance ofthe water color conforms to Beer's Law, allowing for the cal-culation ofthe chromaticity value of the sample.
