This monitor is based on the national standard HJ636-2012"Water Quality Determination of Total Nitrogen-AlkalinePotassium Persulfate Ultraviolet Spectrophotometry." Underalkaline conditions at 125°C, potassium persulfate is used as anoxidizing agent to convert the nitrogen in nitrogen-containingcompounds in the sample into nitrate. During this process.organic matter is simultaneously oxidized and decomposedMMeasurements are conducted at wavelengths of 220 nm and275 nm, and the total nitrogen value ofthe sample is calculatedaccordingly.
