Introduction for Carbazochrome :
Orange crystal or crystalline powder. Melting point is no less than 220ºC(decomposition). It is slightly soluble in water and ethanol, but insoluble in ether and chloroform. Its sodium salicylate ([1305-01-9]) is orange powder with melting point of 196-197.5 ("decomposition"), solubility of 0.61 mg/ml in water at 25 ("decomposition"), insoluble in ether and chloroform, and pH value of 10% aqueous solution is 6.7-7.3.
Carbazochrome Application:
Hemostatics. It is used for persistent purple shift syndrome, hereditary telangiectasis and prevention of bleeding of lung, kidney, intestine, brain and uterus.
