HSS M35 High Speed Steel Cobalt Aircraft Extension Drill Bits with Overall Length 6" Round Shank, Spiral Flute, Cobalt, 135 Degree, Right hand, Split Point, Gold Oxide Finished, drilling deep holes in metal and Steel.. Hardened high speed steel body provides additional safeguard. Industrial grade cobalt high speed steel are available on request. Right hand cutting direction; standard two flute design. Aircraft Extension Drills are heavy duty Jobber Flute Length Drills with an extended overall length of 6" or 12" or 18".
- Cobalt steel tools are similar to high-speed steel, but with more cobalt for improved performance when cutting harder metals such as stainless steel or nickel alloys
- Gold oxide is a thinner oxide surface treatment than black oxide typically used to identify cobalt steel tools; performance is similar to uncoated tools
- Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of tool holding systems
- When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging
