This starter motor is a forklift engine part, installed on the Xinchai 490 engine, which is usually applied on the HELI CPCD30 lift truck to start the forklift engine. This one is a kind of reduction starter, or what we call a deceleration starter, for there is a gear reducer installed between the starter's armature shaft and the drive gear. So the failure rate of this forklift starter is lower than regular one.
What are the common faults of forklift starter motors?
(1) The battery has no power or the power is weak, so the starter cannot rotate or rotates slowly.
(2) The starter motor wire is loose or fallen off, and the switch or adsorption switch fails.
