Properties: It is a white crystal with corrosive to skin and toxic. It is soluble in water and methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in propanone and liquid ammonia. When it is in hot water decomposition will occur to release ammonia and ammonium bifluoride.
Application: It is used for extracting rare elements, glass etching, preservative and disinfector in timber and brewing, fibrous mordant and analytical reagent.

Storage: store at a dry ventilated place, avoid wetting.
