Poloxamer (oloame) is a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether block copolymer with the trade name of luromio. This is a new type of polymer nonionic surfactant.
Poloxamer 407 are widely used as emulsifier, solubilizing agent, hydrophilic substrate of ointments and suppositories,artificial blood, artificial tear and artifical skin etc.
