PCBN insert
Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride(PCBN) is sintered by CBN grains as key ingredient binding with metallic and TiN in high pressure and high temperature condition. Compared with carbide tool material, it has higher strength higher red hardness, better heat resistance and wear resistance. Due to these features, PCBN insert is not only used for machining cast iron but also for hard cutting materials such as hardened steel, roller, HSS and heat resistance alloy.
Due to low affinity with ferrous metal, PCBN insert is the best option for ferrous metal cutting process. The one-off PCBN insert with small cutting tips cost very few raw material and suit for semi-finish and finish machining that the workpieces has less remove allowance on one side.
