The tip tap has the same straight thread groove as the general hand tap, but there is a specially designed spiral groove at the front end of its cutting part to rotate and push the chips out from the bottom of the hole. Because the tip tap has the function of rotating and discharging chips, it can not only keep the groove clean and reduce the torque during cutting, but also avoid the damage of the tap caused by chip blockage, so the tip tap can use the general hand tap to cut high-precision threads faster.
