During long time usage of printers, some factors will inevitably affect print quality, such as worn-out printer head, dust accumulation, temperature running high, mechanical or software failure, wrinkled carbon belt, broken pin, etc. Defective labels could have consequences that range from wasted product to market recall issues, such as:- Incomplete critical information can lead to fines.
- Unscannable labels can lead to costly returns and chargebacks.
- Unqualified labels lead to reprints, reporting errors and even inventory disorder.
According to statistics, more than 20% of market recalls in pharmaceutical market is related to label issues.
Our Solution
Rosetta R210 is a widely applicable, easy-to-use type of online automatic label print quality & barcode inspection system. It consists of a high-resolution flat field sensor pack and Rosetta vision inspection software (to run on customer's computer).
Unlike last generations of label print solutions on the market which are still using area-array camera, single-scanline camera or code reader, at high cost with poor performance, we innovated to adopt CIS technology to this new age revolutionary solution with our intellectual property, bring label inspection to next level.
Rosetta R210 detects all kinds of defects and errors of printed labels. It covers the following inspection criteria.

- Detect print missing, position deviation, distortion, etc. of text, graphic, table.
- Contamination Detect
- Detect contamination or dirty on labels (outside of printable area), label paper problem.
- OCR recognition
- Recognition of letters, numbers, and symbols.

1. What does the product consist of ?
The system consists of a CIS camera set and vision inspection software, a perfect combination of hardware and software. It does not include the printer.
2. Is the system easy to install and operate?
The hardware part will be installed right on the printer head. We will provide remote video guidance support to help customer finish installation. Software is easy to use, and only takes several days for operator to learn and start to operate.
