Chemical properties
Yellowish-brown opaque to translucent hard wax or powder. The relative density is about 0.983, the melting point is 67 ~ 68ºC, the iodine value is 37, and the refractive index is 1.4555. Soluble in hot petroleum  and alkali, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water.

Origin
Candelilla wax, also known as Candelilla wax, light yellow shiny waxy solid, fragrant odor, brittle and hard plant wax. Candelilla wax contains special resin composition and strong resistance to temperature change. Candelilla wax is a natural wax, which is a natural biological wax extracted from candelilla.
