| Application/Uses | Lambda-Cyhalothrin is best used either as a barrier treatment around a structure or as a broadcast treatment against insects that are on landscapes, shrubs and ornamentals because it is able to breakdown quickly, rendering no harm to the plant. Thiamethoxam is a second-generation nicotinic high-efficiency and low-toxicity insecticide, which has stomach poisoning, contact killing and systemic activity against pests, and is used for foliar spraying and soil root irrigation. It is quickly absorbed by the system after spraying, and is transmitted to all parts of the plant, which has a good control effect on piercing-sucking pests such as aphids, planthoppers, leafhoppers, and whiteflies. |
| ECOTOXICOLOGY | The widespread use has resulted in residues in sediment, which have been found to be toxic to aquatic organisms including fish and amphipods. Mitigation measures have been used to reduce the adverse impact of lambda-cyhalothrin contributed from agricultural or urban runoff. |
