Emergency contraceptive pill

Each pill contains: Levonorgestrel BP 1.5 mg.

Ela is an emergency contraceptive Pill. It can prevent an unplanned pregnancy that may occur due to unprotected sex or failure of a contraceptive(birth control) method. It is not an abortion ill and does not work if you are already pregnant. Ela needs to be taken as soon as possible but not later then 72 hours after unprotected sex. The earlier you take it the more effective it will be. Caution: Ela should not be used as a substitute for a condom or any other regular contra-ceptive method. Ela does not prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases or HIVIAIDS. Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from light.
