INDICATIONS:
The Cipro 500mg is indicated in infections caused by susceptible germs and liocated in the following sites germs.
-Respiratory tract (including anthrax)
-Ears and throat
-Abdomen (including anthrax)
-Blood
-Bones and Joints
-Skin and soft tissues
-Gall bladder
-Eyes
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Your doctor will decide the dosage and duration of treatment with Com CIPRONAX 500mg.
Do not stop treatment until the infection is completely healed.
Generally, the tablet is swallowed whole, not chewed, with some liquid (e.g. a glass of water), and preferably two hours before or after meals. It is recommended to drink plenty during treatment.
ADULTS:-Usual dose: 1 tablet every 12 hours orally
-For acute infections, treatment usually lasts 5-10 days. It should nevertheless continue treatment three days after the disappearance of signs and symptoms.
-The treatment or prevention of anthrax normally takes 50 days; the usual dose is 500mg every 12 hours orally.
NOTA BENE
DISTURBED RENAL FUNCTION: The physician should rectify the prescription accordingly
LIVER FUNCTION DISRUPTED: In adults, it is not necessary to adjust the dosage.
ELDERLY
The dose was equivalent to that administered to adult subjects. It should be a hue if impaired kidney function.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH (5-17 years)
-Recommended dose: 20mg/ kg every 12 hours orally
-the dose should not exceed 1500mg
-For the treatment and prevention of anthrax, the recommended dose is 10-15mg/kg every 12 hours orally.
IN CASE OF OVERDOSE
