Lx-460 is a high-speed disc separator used for the concentration of latex by removal of water and solids. The centrifugal force is generated when the bowl is rotating at a high-speed, which effectively separates latex from water and solid matters by their respective densities. The clarified latex flows through the gap on the upper cover into the condensed latex container while the light supernatant goes through the gap on the lower cover into the light supernatant container. The machine should be stopped after 2-3 hour's operation for the removal of the solid matters deposited at the inner wall of the bowl, which can be carried out by a scraper.
