Rosuvastatin is a selective reductase inhibitor of HMG-CoA.HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors are rate-limiting enzymes that convert 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A to valerate, the precursor of cholesterol.The main site of action of rosuvastatin is the liver, the organ targeted for lowering cholesterol.Rosuvastatin increased the number of receptors on the surface of liver LDL cells, promoted LDL absorption and catabolism, and inhibited the liver synthesis of VLDL, thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles.Uses, benefits, Side Effects
1.Adjuvant therapy for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia ( type A, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed lipidemia disorder (type B) when diet or exercise therapy is not ideal
2.This product can reduce elevated LDL- cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglyceride and ApoB, increase HDL- cholesterol
3.It is also suitable for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia patients and can be used alone or in combination with diet or other lipid-lowering methods (such as LDL removal)
