XQ series hydraulic power tongs, with advanced steering control structure and tubing clamping technology, and equipped with hydraulic backups, are ideal equipment for make-up/break-out various sizes of sucker rods, tubing, small casing and small drill pipe during oilfield workover operations.
Model XQ114/6I Hydraulic Power Tongs is a medium sized, open mouth tongs, which is currently used in the workover to assemble and disassemble the 73(2 7 /8″),89(3 1 /2″),114(4 1 /2″)mm oil pipes. This tongs adopts the advanced steering brake mechanism and oil pipe
clamping mechanism, it is of the simple structure, reliable function, long life service, good performance, low noise etc features, it is a ideal equipment in the workover operation.
1. The complete set of the power tongs consists of the main tongs and backup tongs. To operate the manual overflow valve of the main tongs, the backup tongs will be work synchronously with the main tongs, and work flexibly and in phase.
2. Both the head of the main tongs and the head of the backup tongs adopt two-way clamping mechanism of the internal curved surface roller grade climbing to clamp the oil pipes. Its structure is simple but reliable.

5. The overflow system is set in the manual reversing valve, it can be used to control the torque force when assembling and disassembling the oil pips, and it also can be help to protect the hydraulic power tongs when overloaded.
6. The power tongs is equipped with a spring hanger or a hydraulic spring hanger, when it is used for single lift sub operation, the hydraulic control elevating system of the power tongs can adjust the height of power tongs as the customer's need.
7. The power tongs is installed a torque control system. When the torque reaches the fixed value, the power tongs will stop rotating automatically, the radio torque instrument shall indicate and record the torque value and give the alarm signal (It shall be matched if customer requires).
Operate the manual reversing valve on the main tong, and the main tong and backup tong work synchronously.- Special bidirectional sequence control device for tubing tong shall be equipped as required to realize that the backup tong clamps the tubing before the main tong, so as to make the loading and unloading of tubing safer and more reliable.
