[Application scope]
Modular Electrically Connected Cable Assembly (MECCA drill rod), with a communication channel (inside cable) is designed for horizontal directional drilling using a telemetry system. It was designed for deep hole wire line applications, with its strong tool joints, high quality friction-welded and special heat treated steel, the rods are excel in directional drilling applications. Φ73mm and Φ70mm MECCA drill rod have maximum working torque of 6000N·m and have excess to accomplish in-seam directional borehole up to 1000 meters. While, Φ89mm rod has a maximum working torque of 12000N·m and are suitable to drill borehole depth up to 2000 meters. The rods allow the driller to receive real time survey data, including directional drill data and sampling data of drilled formation.
