VY OPTICS can many kinds rod lens based on different material and sizes. N-BK7 and UV Fused Silica substrates are available. Its circumference and both ends can be polished upon customer requirement. Its optical performance is similar to a cylinder lens, the light passing through the diameter of the rod lens will be focused into a line.
