P-toluene sulfonic acid(PTSA) is an organic compound. It is a white extremely hygroscopic solid that is soluble in water, alcohols, and other polar organic solvents. PTSA is a strong organic acid. It is about one million times stronger than benzoic acid. It is one of the few strong acids that is solid and therefore is conveniently weighted and stored.

1 As curing agent. In coating, resin, artificial board, casting, oil paint industries, PTSA is used as curing agent;
2 In medicine(such as doxycycline), pesticides(like three dicohol), PTSA is widely used.
3 In organic chemicals, PTSA is widely used.
4 Stabilizer. In acrylate, textile auxiliary agent, photographic film, polyreaction, it is used as stabilizer.
