Printing and dyeing wastewater has the characteristics of large water volume, complex composition, high content of organic pollutants, and poor biodegradability. It is difficult to treat this type of wastewater using conventional biochemical methods. In recent years, with the rapid development of the textile printing and dyeing industry, the discharge of new dye auxiliaries and other difficult-to-biodegrade organic matter has once again increased the difficulty of treating printing and dyeing wastewater. As a highly efficient oxidant, ozone has the advantages of strong oxidation ability, mild conditions, and no secondary pollution. However, simple ozone oxidation has the disadvantages of strong selectivity, low utilization rate, and high operating costs. Studies have shown that by adding a certain catalyst, ozone can generate hydroxyl radicals (OH) with super strong oxidation ability. ?OH can non-selectively mineralize organic matter in water, and cause complex and toxic macromolecular organic matter to undergo chain breaking and ring opening reactions to generate simple, non-toxic or low-toxic small molecule compounds. And the reaction speed is fast.
