The main field of application of PCTFE(Kel-f) is cryogenics due to the fact that it is the fluoropolymer that best retains its mechanical properties at extremely low temperatures and is therefore the least fragile of the fluoropolymers. PCTFE is incompatible with alkaline metals and in some cases with organic amines.
PCTFE soft seat insert or seal is the important components in the cryogenic valve industry.
