Product Description

This monitor is based on the national standard GB11892-89"Water Quality-Determination of Permanganate Index." Po-tassium permanganate and sulfuric acid are added to the sampleand heated to 98°C, where potassium permanganate oxidizescertain organic matter and inorganic reducing substances in thesample.Excess sodium oxalate is then added to consume theunreacted potassium permanganate. The excess sodium oxalateis back-titrated with potassium permanganate, and the endpointvolume of the titration is recorded. The permanganate indexvalue ofthe sample is calculated accordingly
