The characteristic of melt-blown nonwoven fiber includes its small fiber diameter, large surface area, soft, good hang down, low filtration resistance, good filtration efficiency as well as its low brute force and bad wear-resisting performance. And the fibre of spunbond nonwoven products is mostly continuous filament, having high intensity and large diameter range. The intensity of spundond nonwoven is higher than melt-blown nonwoven, while the diameter of spunbond fiber is bigger than that of the melt-blown. The low intensity and wearability limit the application of melt-blown nonwoven products greatly. But the shortcoming can be overcome by compounding the melt-blown nonwoven with the spunbond nonwovens. The compounded product has the strongpoint including high intensity, good wearability, good filtration and good performance of warm keeping and damp losing.
