Calcium Carbonate for Food Additives
1. Product Description
Calcium carbonate is white fine crystalline powder, tasteless, odorless. There are two forms, amorphous and crystalline. The crystal type can be divided into rhombic crystal system and hexagonal crystal system (anhydrous calcium carbonate is colorless rhombic crystal, calcium carbonate hexahydrate is colorless monoclinic crystal, which is columnar or rhombic, and the density is 2.93g/cm3. The melting point is 1339ºC (825-896.6ºC has been decomposed), and the melting point is 1289ºC at 10.7MPa. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in water containing ammonium salt or iron trioxide, insoluble in alcohol.
