Properties:
Molybdenum is the most commonly used of the refractory metals.
With a high melting temperature of 2620°C, Molybdenum also has excellent high temperature strength. Besides, molybdenum has very good thermal and electrical conductivity, and resistant to corrosion. With all the characteristics combined, molybdenum is widely used in electric furnace, semiconductors, radiation products, sputtering targets, etc.
Molybdenum products application:
- High temperature heating elements, radiation shields, extrusions, forging dies, etc;
- Rotating X-ray anodes used in clinical diagnostics;
- Glass melting furnace electrodes and components that are resistant to molten glass;
- Heat sinks with thermal expansivity matching silicon for semiconductor chip mounts;
- Sputtered layers, for gates and interconnects on integrated circuit chips.
