[Application scope and technical characteristics]
WPZ-55/50L Roadway Repair Machine is a repair equipment for underground mines. It is mainly used for roadway leveling operation of the coal mine, which could also be used for crushing, slagging-off and loading of gangue in underground cavity operations such as mine roadway, highway (railway) tunnel, etc.
The roadway shall be not less than 1.5m high and 2.0m wide before leveling; Proctor's coefficient f of roadway floor rocks shall be ≤12. The depth of water accumulated in the roadway shall be lower than the track.
Featuring narrow body and good disintegration, it facilitates the underground handling and transportation. At the inlet, the working mechanism is equipped with breaking hammer with high crushing efficiency, so that the labor intensity will be greatly reduced. The scraper transporter in split structure features reliable transportation, easy dismantlement and large transport capacity and is able to turn. It has high degree of automation and automatic cable winding and releasing function able to solve repeated movement of cables during construction of the repair machine. It is equipped with a spray device at the inlet to reduce dust and inhibit explosion, which renders a good operation environment.
The hydraulic system adopts the LUDV control (load pressure independent flow distribution control), so that the operation is flexible, easy and highly reliable.

[Application]
A field industrial test was performed to the repair machine in Hecaogou coal mine, Yan'an city in October 2014.
The coalbed No. 5 of Hecaogou coal mine is now under exploitation, where the floor rock has low strength and joint development in some area. Under the background that the working face bears excessive supporting pressure and the neighboring working face suffers from goaf, the roadway has severe floor heaving deformation and walls and roof are destroyed to different extents. The violent floor heaving restricts transportation and traffic capacity of the roadway. Reduction in the tunnel section as a result of floor heaving would lead to poor ventilation effect on the mining face, which would severely affect safe and efficient production in the mine area.
Industrial test for the repair machine was performed in return air crossheading at working face 50107 of Hecaogou coal mine, as shown in the Figure on the right. The roadway is in rectangular section and poured with 200mm concrete at the floor. The roadway, which is only 1.7-2.4m high before leveling, is leveled to 2.8m as required by the coal owner. Statistics indicate that average leveling efficiency of the repair machine is about 2 m/h.
It is found through field test that, the equipment has higher leveling efficiency than manual leveling with pneumatic pick and it can greatly improve the workload and operating environment, so as to satisfy leveling operation requirements of the coal owner. The result of field application indicates that using repair machine to treat the roadway floor heaving is feasible and the equipment is applicable.
